CALL FOR PAPERS ================================================================ International Symposium on Future Software Technology (ISFST) 98 ================================================================ Hangzhou, China October, 28-30, 1998 Sponsored by SEA (Japan) and UNU/IIST (Macau) ############### Submission deadline: June 15, 1998 Important Dates Notification of acceptance: August 31, 1998 ############### Final paper due: September 30, 1998 This is the third symposium dedicated to the future software technology, in succession to the series of annual International CASE Symposiums held in China since 1991, organized by SEA (Software Engineers Association of Japan), UNU/IIST (International Institute of Software Technology of United Nations University), and other academic and industrial institutions. ISFST'98 will bring to gather researchers, practitioners, and educators in the leading-edge software technologies. The theme of the symposium is "Software Technology Catering for 21st Century". Suggested topics include, but are not limited to: Engineering of Large Software Systems Hybrid and Distributed/Parallel Systems Reengineering and Reverse Engineering Domain Engineering Software Architecture Object Orientation and Reusable Components Software Process and Management Multimedia Computer-Supported Cooperative Work and Groupware Intelligent Browsing and Internet Information Retrieval Computer Aided Software Engineering Computer Human Interaction Knowledge-based approaches and artificial intelligence Technology Transfer Place: Hangzhou, capital of the province and southern terminus of the Grand Canal, lies in the north of Zhejiang at the head of Hangzhou Bay. The canal has been the instrument of the city's wealth and fortunes, establishing it for over a thousand years as a place of great wealth and culture. (Submissions by fax are not accepted) All submissions should be accompanied with cover-sheet information electronically sent to the Program Chair. The email must include: title, author names, abstract, a list of keywords, the type of the submission (full paper OR extended abstract) and the corresponding address of the primary author (name, postal address, email address, and phone and fax numbers). Paper selection will be based on originality and contribution to the themes. Accepted papers will appear in the symposium proceedings if at least one of the authors of each accepted paper presents the paper at the symposium. Acceptance notice will be sent to the primary author by August 31, 1998. Authors of accepted papers will be required to submit their final camera-ready copy by September 30, 1998.
