Speech Keynote 1: Chair Keynote Speech 2: Panelists Closing Panel: Kouichi Kishida (SRA, Japan) Kouichi Kishida is one of the Founder and the Technical Director of Software Research Associates, Inc., one of the oldest independent software houses in Japan. He started his long career of computing in early 1960s after studied astronomy at University of Tokyo. He has been playing a leading role of transferring new technologies into Japanese software industry, such as "structured technique" in 1970s, "Unix" in 1980s, and "process" in 1990s. He is a founding member of Japan Unix Society (JUS) and Software Engineers Association (SEA). He is now serving as the secretary general of SEA. Internationally, he is known as the organizer of Software Designers Associates Project (1987-92) and a series of International CASE Symposia in China (since 1991 and since 1994 sponsored with UNU/IIST). He also took a program co-chair with Bob Balzer at 9th ICSE (Monterey, 1987) and gave keynote speech at 10th ICSE (Singapore, 1988).
